The mission of LightHouse Ministry of Jacksonville (LHM) is to spread the word of God by providing transitional housing for men who may be coming out of prison or a rehabilitation recovery program. Our goal is to assist these men in transforming their lives through Christ.

Wrapped around the principles of Celebrate Recovery, we have created a safe environment where men can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through daily interaction with Christian peers and mentors and specific recovery and life skills programs.

All residents must find and maintain employment, pay rent, cover their own personal expenses and perform basic chores and upkeep of the house. They are active in church and attend formal recovery programs.

Our first house was purchased, renovated and remodeled in 2008 and currently ministers to up to six men. Also in 2008, the empty lot adjacent to the house was donated to our ministry for future use. Due to the increased demand for transitional housing and the services we provide, that future is now!

In faith and with little funds, we partnered with Chets Creek Church and Collins Builders to build our second home, completed in late October 2015. We are now able to minister to 12 men through the operation of two transition homes.

We have seen God work in tremendous ways in this ministry. We believe He will continue to work through these homes to help change lives for Christ!
